All bad things must come to an end. It’s a bit unfair that a show’s legacy will be determined by its final hour, but it’s like taking a roadtrip. You’re not going to remember how fun the journey was if at the end you get into a car accident. Luckily for us, Breaking Bad caps off its glorious run with a completely satisfying and fulfilling ending. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a show that was this consistently good throughout its entire run and managed to tie everything up by the end. This is how you end a show.
Less than 2 hours away from the series finale of Breaking Bad *sniff* and I have no clue how the show will end but I’m going to throw down some thoughts on how I think it will all turn out anyway because it’s going to be fun during the recap to see how very wrong I was.
“Whatever he became, the sweet, kind, brilliant man we once knew long ago is gone.” Sorry Emmys, you’re going to take a backseat to this super-packed ultra depressing episode of […]
Gut-wrenching, shocking, touching, brutal and the beginning (continuation?) of the body count. Also probably one of the series’ best episodes. Everyone come closer for a group hug because Ozymandias has no mercy on the audience.
Well it took 5 years but Walt was finally legitimately outsmarted by someone else. Oh how the tables have turned. If there’s one thing that hasn’t changed throughout this show, it’s that Walt will protect what remains of his family. His one remaining sympathetic quality turns out to be his only weakness.
I’ve probably become spoiled as a fan of Breaking Bad because almost all the episodes have been so top-notch and the start of the last 8 have been getting better and better. After a tense opening, this one felt like a slow set-up to next week, and while the story developed, with only 5 episodes left, things are going to have to progress brutally fast after this.
Breaking Bad can do full circle like no other show. To prove it, have a nice visual of Jesse spinning around by himself metaphorically and literally on a merry-go-round after…
“If you don’t know who I am, then maybe your best course would be be to tread lightly.” If the countless publicity and articles and internet ads haven’t clued you […]
